Commentary: China's top-level policy blueprint to bring certainty to world

Xi expresses condolences over passing of former CPVCC general secretary

PHNOM PENH, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- The free trade agreement (FTA) between Cambodia and China will undoubtedly promote stronger trade and investment ties between the two countries, Cambodia's Commerce Minister Pan Sorasak said in a recent interview with Chinese media.

The gross interference in Hong Kong affairs, be it in words or action, can only undermine the sound implementation of the policy of "one country, two systems" and will meet with the firm rejection from all the Chinese people, including the people of Hong Kong, he said. Enditem

"China's role in opening up to global economy through many initiatives, including its BRI, contributes a lot to the trend of global trade flows given its very potential production and consumption hubs," Sorasak said.

"People cannot assume other people are doing all these things just because they are exactly doing the same thing in other countries. This is the problem. Some people are doing all these things in other countries. But now they are blaming other countries doing such things. We never do these," he said.

China has never prohibited or prevented relevant accounting firms from offering audit work papers to overseas regulators, the CSRC said.

"With effective policies and timely responses, China has managed to curb the spread of the virus and at the same time kept industrial chain stable and smooth," he said. "These efforts have helped ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), especially Cambodia, mitigate the impacts from the virus on our economy." Enditem

He said although China had been hit hard by the pandemic, her efforts in stabilizing industrial and supply chains in the region shall be praised.

Mahdi said the lab has facilitated the Iraqi campaign to fight against COVID-19, especially in the first few weeks of the viral outbreak in Iraq.

"Foreign companies, including European ones, were part of the story of China's development, and we believe they will continue to be part of the successful story of China's development and win-win cooperation," he added.

XI'AN, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- A cargo train with 45 compartments of anti-epidemic supplies left Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi province, and headed for Italy's Milan Wednesday.
